Project Description
The new Blair ES replaces the existing structure on the same site. The two-story, 85,799 square foot building, slab on grade, masonry load-bearing structure with cavity wall construction. The school is a redesign of the Snipes Academy prototype facility. The front entrance was revised to address the Blair Road frontage and the previous gymnasium was revised to include a standard elementary school multi-purpose room consistent with New Hanover County Schools programs. The brick color and facility siting take into account it’s adjacent Noble Middle School campus environment.
