Project Description
This new elementary school will alleviate overcrowding from two nearby schools. The building will house kindergarten through fifth grade students. The school is designed as a student-centereed learning enviromnent with opportunities for self-guided learning and team-teaching strategies. The masonry load-bearing, brick veneer with standing-seam metal roof is 117,693 sf in size to accommodate 800 students with 920 core facilities. It utilizes a water-source heat pump with boiler and cooling tower mechanical system, LED lighting, sunshades/daylighting to create an energy-efficient, sustainable school for students.
