Project Description
The North Carolina Troopers Museum is a new three-story 14,000 sf space that tells the story of the North Carolina State Highway Patrol from inception in 1929 through modern day. The facility will be located south of Downtown Raleigh on Garner Road, directly across from the Highway Patrol Training Academy. Inside, visitors will find two levels of exhibition space featuring three full-sized vehicles from different periods in the Troopers’ history, along with a gift shop, recruitment center, and community room. The facility also provides overnight lodging for Troopers visiting the State’s Capital on official duty. The museum grounds feature an undulating wildflower meadow that harkens to the State’s highway wildflower program, creating a colorful foreground to the building as you arrive on site.
