Project Description
The Robeson Career & Technical Education Center, Planetarium, and Science Center is a 129,000-square-foot collaborative learning facility designed to expand educational opportunity and workforce readiness for the Public Schools of Robeson County. The state-of-the-art campus supports hands-on, career-focused learning while fostering collaboration across disciplines.
The facility offers a broad range of career and technical programs, including drafting, culinary arts, automotive technology, carpentry, computer networking, EMT training, and welding—equipping students with the skills and experience needed to succeed in today’s evolving job market.
A defining feature of the project is the new planetarium, a cutting-edge educational resource that will be open to the public and serve as a regional asset. The planetarium replaces the previous facility lost during Hurricane Matthew, restoring a vital space for science education and community engagement.
